• The Irwin 1-Ton Anvil Workshop Vise is specifically designed for medium duty workshop applications for both professional craftsmen and DIY enthusiasts who expect a compact vise with superior clamping force, safety features and exceptional finish.
• The base and sliding jaw half are made of closed grain gray cast iron machined on all friction surfaces for smooth, reliable operation. They are ground to precise dimensions and have a machined anvil and replaceable steel jaw plates. The stationary jaw half, handle and main screw are made of steel. The screw has a double-start trapezoidal thread to turn the clamp from fully closed to fully open in the minimum number of turns.
• The vice's high-quality trapezoidal thread screw has the ability to clamp more than a ton in its jaws, while a safety lock prevents the slide from accidental disengagement from the base.
