Customer Service - Warranty & Repair

Because Mastertools is a dealer of all brands, we can offer you an excellent service in the event of defects / manufacturing errors. The warranty claim will in many cases be handled by the manufacturer, so you can count on qualified technicians who know your machine inside out.

When am I entitled to warranty?

The legal guarantee applies to all articles that you buy from us. This means that an item must be in good condition and function properly under normal use. When you receive an item where this is not the case, we will provide you with a suitable solution as soon as possible. Depending on the problem, we do this through replacement, repair or refund. This is at the discretion of Mastertools upon receipt.

How does a warranty claim work?

If a product you have purchased has a defect and/or does not function within the specifications, you can report this to our customer service. In most cases the machine will have to be returned to Mastertools. If you report a defect within six months, we will bear the shipping costs, so that the return is free of charge for you. You will receive instructions from our customer service on how to return the product. If you claim warranty after the first six months, the return is initially for your own account. If the guarantee has been granted and you have returned the machine, you can declare these costs to us. (Note: only standard package costs will be reimbursed). You can only declare these costs to us within the first year after purchase. For a package from the Netherlands we reimburse €6.95 per package.

Extended warranty offered by the manufacturer

Many brands offer an extended warranty if you register your purchased machine within a certain period of time via the manufacturer's website. This is one of the advantages of buying tools from an official dealer. Mastertools has no insight into the course of the registration process. If you have any questions, it is best to contact the manufacturer's helpdesk. Of course, our helpdesk is also available in case of a problem. Mastertools is also your point of contact when you make a warranty claim within the extended term. This extended warranty does not affect the legal warranty.

Where do I register my machine for extended warranty?.
Below you will find links to the websites of the manufacturers where you can register your machine:

Bosch | DEWALT | Festool | Hikoki | Makita | Milwaukee | Metabo | Fine | Panasonic | Paslode

Extended warranty offered by Mastertools

Mastertools offers an extra year warranty on selected machines. This will be indicated in the title of the product and will appear on the invoice. All you need to do is register your machine for the extended warranty through the manufacturer. Your warranty will be automatically extended by Mastertools for one year. Mastertools will take on the full warranty obligation in the fourth year. This extended warranty does not affect the legal warranty.

What should I send?

When you return a machine, it should be as bare as possible. You do not have to send all unnecessary accessories. An original case (well padded) for protection is recommended.

What else you need to send along

Proof of purchase (preferably a copy of the invoice/packing slip) with a short description of your observation.

Copy of certificate in case of extended warranty.

How long have I lost my machine?

Various manufacturers use different procedures for handling a warranty claim. It is difficult to determine in advance an exact number of days that you will have to miss your machine. On average, processing a warranty claim takes one to one and a half weeks. However, it is possible that the manufacturer does not have a certain part in stock. As a result, the previously set term can be deviated from.

Do you have a loaner machine for me?

We do not have loaner machines that you can use while handling the warranty claim.
